God exists in unity and diversity - the Father, the Son , and the Holy Spirit are one God unified in three persons who have distinct roles in, creation and redemption, and who have distinct personalities. And, when God creates, he leaves his fingerprints all over the place. So the god who exists in unity and diversity creates in the garden, made a humanity that was in its unity diverse - it was male AND female that revealed Gods image...together. But, the fall has broken our unity. Immediately after God curses mankind, Adam and Eve cover themselves to hide their shame from God and each other. Then, one of their sons kills another one of their sons. Then, just a few chapters later in Genesis 11, mankind's rebellion led God to disrupt them by confusing their language. Instead of unity, they would only know diversity.
